The ASI Show Hosts Successful Dallas Show
Attendance Up by 5% Over 2005

TREVOSE, PA — (February 24, 2006) — On the heels of a successful Orlando show at the beginning of the year, the fourth annual ASI Dallas Show — February 8-10 at the Dallas Convention Center — attracted attendance of over 3,300 distributors (a 5% increase from 2005), all eager to see the nearly 700 suppliers exhibiting at the industry’s largest show in the Southwest.

Consisting of an information-packed education day and two busy exhibit days, The ASI Dallas Show saw thousands of Southwest distributors take time out of their busy schedules to hone their sales techniques and see the year’s newest ad specialty products and services. “This was my first show and it was awesome!” said Steven Jorgenson and his wife from On Site Signs, asi/287589. “My wife and I had a great time. We saw so many new items at the show — many we didn’t know even existed — and we are excited to get home to show our customers. The show was very enlightening and fun!” Robin Mather of Visual Basics, asi/352523, added, "The number of suppliers was great! I always find the Advantages New Product Showcase to be helpful; it's a great place to find the newest products. I also really enjoyed the Supplier Secrets Keynote, and Rick Barrera's Keynote was absolutely the best. I feel that I learned so much during his presentation! This was my third year of attending and I believe it was the best one yet. I am looking forward to 2007!"

Suppliers were also very pleased with this year’s ASI Dallas Show. “We had a great show!” announced Deborah Perkins-Edgar of TLT Leather, asi/90492. “We are re-entering the promotional products arena with a revamped product line and were exceedingly pleased with the traffic and caliber of leads. The response and level of interest we received at the show was fantastic! Distributors came with ‘shopping lists’ and in search of new ideas. From our perspective, they walked away with new ideas and a new source. Their genuine interested generated sample and quote requests and we are thrilled to say orders!” Craig Dickens of Suntex Industries, asi/90160, added, “I was very pleased with the Dallas show. We have exhibited at Dallas since your first ASI show, and this year was the best for Suntex. We had over 400 leads, and also increased our booth size to 20 foot this year. We look forward to Vegas in a few weeks.”

ASI Show President Matthew Cohn said, “We’re very excited about the continued growth of this show. The southwestern states are a great region, with lots of quality distributors and suppliers that are eager to do business.” Cohn added, “I was repeatedly stopped by both distributors and suppliers throughout the show wanting to express their appreciation. Our number one priority is to make sure that distributors are happy with the variety and number of exhibitors and suppliers are experiencing steady, quality booth traffic. And judging by feedback, the show attained that goal.” Cohn went on to say, “I look forward to receiving more feedback about The ASI Dallas Show and am confident we’ll be able to incorporate some of that feedback into future shows to make it an even better experience for everyone involved.”

High Marks for Education Conference

The Education Conference, sponsored by Fields Manufacturing, asi/54100, provided dozens of training seminars to hundreds of distributors and suppliers throughout the day on Wednesday, February 8. One of the most popular sessions was a free full-day seminar entitled, “Top Buyers of Promotional Products & How to Sell to Them.” This popular workshop featured distributor market specialists who shared their secrets to booming sales in 10 multi-billion-dollar markets. Another well-received session that kept the day’s energy level high was David Blaise’s Lunch & Learn Presentation, sponsored by SHEPENCO/Shelbyville Pencil, asi/86850, “Top Secrets of Multi-Million Dollar Producers.”

Education continued on Thursday, February 9, when marketing consultant Rick Barrera kicked off the first show day with a free breakfast keynote presentation, sponsored by ASI Catalogs, asi/33020, entitled, “Over Promise & Over Deliver: The Secrets of Unshakable Customer Loyalty.” More than 340 attendees got up early to learn valuable tips on how to attain the kind of customer loyalty that other companies envy. Doug Miller from The Vernon Company, asi/351700, shared, “The presentation was very effective. Rick had a number of great ideas for us to put to immediate use! It was helpful that Rick could relate his topics and suggestions directly to the promotional products industry.”

Texas-Style Networking in Dallas

Over 700 party-goers enjoyed a true Texas-style barbeque at one of the industry’s most acclaimed networking events, The Ultimate Texas Bash at Eddie Deen’s Ranch. Attendees were treated to Eddie Deen’s famous ribs, beef brisket, smoked turkey as well as open bar, fun networking and great entertainment highlighted by local favorite country band, Breckenridge. Throughout the evening, attendees relaxed and enjoyed the festive atmosphere by packing the dance floor and laughing with colleagues while wearing fashionable foam Cowboy hats, which were given out compliments of Spirit Industries, asi/88740. Sherri Pickle from Print Imaging Group, asi/299476, succinctly stated a common theme when she said, “Tonight’s Texas Bash is a very good ending to a very good day!”

Networking events were held every day of the show and included a tour of ASI supplier member company Identification Plates’ factory, Welcome to Dallas Reception, Celebrate Dallas Reception and the Closing Celebration.
