The ASI Show Hosts Successful Las Vegas Show
ASI Shows Attract Over 15,000 Attendees in 1st Quarter
TREVOSE, PA (April 18, 2006) The ninth annual ASI Show Las Vegas, March 22-24 at the Venetian/Sands Expo Center, delivered nearly 4,000 distributors from over 1,600 ASI member companies and 800 suppliers, making it one of the best-attended shows of the year. ASI Las Vegas was the third ASI Show of the year. To date, the 2006 ASI Shows in Orlando, Dallas and Las Vegas, along with the all-new Advantages Roadshow have brought over 15,000 distributors together a significant increase in show attendance from first quarter last year.
Consisting of an information-packed education day and two exhibit days, The ASI Show Las Vegas welcomed thousands of distributors from the West Coast and across the country (attendees came from 48 different states and 22 different countries, including distributors from South America, Europe and Japan) all eager to see the year’s newest products and services. Fred Behle from AlphaGraphics, Inc., asi/373000, shared, "All aspects of the show were great! I really benefited from the educational workshops. Everyone should take advantage of these classes to learn from some of the best. I went to every class I could and it was well worth my time!" Sam Slagter of IpromoteU, asi/232119, added, "The number and quality of suppliers was great! Plus, the Advantages New Product Showcase had a lot of good new ideas, which I will definitely relay to my customers. Thank you!" Sherri Arnold from Arnolds for Awards, asi/124160, agreed by adding, "We saw many quality suppliers. The show was relaxed and we were able to talk to everyone we had come to see. The additional show benefits like free shipping and our free hotel room added to our great experience. The ASI Show is the best run show of any we attend."
Suppliers were also very pleased with this year’s ASI Show Las Vegas. “This year’s ASI Show has been absolutely phenomenal,” announced Todd Peppler of K&R, asi/63770. “We had a record number of scans in the first day and a half. We made a big splash with a couple of sponsorships and people have responded very well. It’s worked out fantastically for us!” Greg Cross from Sun Company, Inc., asi/90095, added, “We are very pleased with the quality of attendees and how busy we have been throughout the two-day show. Unlike what we often see, there was no letdown in traffic the last day of the show. We are very pleased and are leaving with a healthy number of new prospects!” “We always find the ASI Shows to be of great value. We have seen a large spectrum of distributors from all over the country. It is a joy for us to see our customers in such a relaxed and exciting atmosphere,” stated Tracy Moore from Kolder, asi/65535.
ASI Show President Matthew Cohn said, “This is our ninth year in Las Vegas and the show continues to prove itself as one of the best business-building opportunities in the industry. Exhibitors like the fact that they get quality time to actually talk about business opportunities with distributors, not just scan badges and hand out catalogs. Next year suppliers should be even happier.” Cohn went on to say, “I look forward to receiving more feedback about The ASI Show Las Vegas and am confident we’ll be able to incorporate some of that feedback into future shows to make it an even better experience for everyone involved.”
Next year The ASI Show Las Vegas will move to the spacious Las Vegas Convention Center (conveniently accessible to the monorail, giving attendees easy, fast, traffic-free and affordable transportation from more than 20 major hotels and resorts). The 2007 show is also attracting a number of major distributor sales meetings. In fact, The Vernon Company will be holding their National Sales Meeting, including over 125 Vernon sales representatives, at ASI Las Vegas 2007.
Education Conference Earns High Marks
The Education Conference, sponsored by Fields Manufacturing, asi/54100, provided dozens of training seminars many of them free to hundreds of distributors and suppliers throughout the day on Wednesday, March 22. One of the most popular sessions was a free full-day seminar entitled, “Top Buyers of Promotional Products & How to Sell to Them.” This popular workshop featured distributor market specialists who shared their secrets to booming sales in nine multi-billion-dollar markets, including the school, financial, hospitality, government and healthcare markets. Another Education Day highlight was Rick Barrera’s Lunch & Learn presentation, sponsored by SHEPENCO/Shelbyville Pencil, asi/86850, “Over Promise & Over Deliver: The Secrets of Unshakable Customer Loyalty.” Attendees enjoyed learning valuable tips on how to attain the kind of customer loyalty that other companies envy.
The learning continued on Thursday and Friday, and included a highly anticipated keynote presentation by Steve Wynn at the Wynn Resort on Friday, March 24. Co-sponsored by Snugz USA, asi/88060, and K&R, asi/63770, attendees enjoyed hearing Wynn tell his fascinating and inspiring story of how he built an empire that centers on key sales and marketing initiatives, including unrivaled customer service, branding and developing a vision. Bob Teese of Hotline Products, asi/61960, shared, “I’ve heard dozens of keynote speeches and his was the best I’ve ever heard. He was absolutely on target. He seems to be a wonderful inspiration for all of us to follow, and he had a terrific grasp of our industry. His beliefs and values on how to run a business were outstanding. It was a terrific speech!”
Fun Networking in Las Vegas
Nine hundred party-goers enjoyed The ASI Show Gala Celebration which took place at ICE nightclub. Guests feasted on a buffet while mingling in this chic 17,000-square-foot club featuring 40-foot ceilings and six unique environments, including a balcony overlooking the venue. Often referred to as “the place where the cool people dance,” attendees danced to the live music of NRG, one of the West Coast’s top cover bands.
Networking events were held every day of the show and included a First-Time Attendee Welcome Breakfast, the ASI Spirit Awards, the Viva Las Vegas Reception, a Canadian VIP Breakfast and the Closing Celebration.
Future 2006 Shows
The ASI Show Las Vegas was the third of five ASI Shows in 2006. The remaining two ASI Shows are Philadelphia, May 23-25 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and Chicago, July 11-13 at the McCormick Place Convention Center. Mary Upton, Vice President of Tradeshow Operations, noted, “The first quarter is such an important time for everyone in the industry, and we’ve delivered more than 15,000 distributors to our exhibitors' booths at our Orlando, Dallas and Las Vegas ASI Shows and the all-new Advantages Roadshow. We’re excited and pleased about the results and we’ve heard lots of positive feedback from happy attendees and exhibitors. I’m looking forward to great shows in Philadelphia and Chicago as well as the continued series of Advantages Roadshows. I am anticipating a strong finish to our tradeshow year.”
The ASI Show will return to Las Vegas next year on March 19-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Additional 2007 ASI Shows include Orlando, January 3-5, at the Orange County Convention Center; Dallas, February 7-9, at the Dallas Convention Center; Philadelphia, May 3-5, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center; and Chicago, July 10-12, at the McCormack Place Convention Center
