The ASI Show Hosts Successful 10th Annual Las Vegas Celebration

TREVOSE, PA — (April 13, 2007) — The industry’s longest-running Las Vegas show, The ASI Show Las Vegas, celebrated its 10th annual event with unmatched style and fanfare when 3,738 distributors representing 1,526 companies took to the aisles in anticipation of discovering the newest, hottest ad specialty products for 2007.

Held March 19-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and consisting of an information-packed education day and two busy exhibit days, The ASI Show Las Vegas saw thousands of distributors from around the country and Canada take time out of their busy schedules to hone their sales techniques and see the year’s newest promotional products and services. “I loved the show this year,” said Mary Lou Stevens from Perpetual Marketing, Inc., asi/293792. “The vendors we saw were great, and there were plenty of them. ASI Las Vegas was a terrific show for us. Thanks!” George Maxwell from Safeguard, asi/495013, added, “This was my first ASI Show and I thought it was great! I’m leaving with many innovative ideas and a ton of useful samples. Thanks for all the hard work you all did for the show.” Donna Van Horn from The Vernon Company, asi/351700, remarked, “I thought the show was great. I got many new ideas on how to approach customers and what to present to them. Thanks for a wonderful experience!”

Suppliers were also very pleased with this year’s ASI Las Vegas. “We had a great show!” announced Blaine Wiltey from American Ad Bag, asi/35290. “We were hit right from the start and went through 800 show bags in less than an hour and a half.” Brett Hersh from Admints, asi/31516, shared, “ASI Las Vegas has been fantastic! The traffic was steady and the quality of distributors was excellent. We will be back next year.”

ASI Show President Matthew Cohn said, “We’re excited that ASI Las Vegas has proven to be another productive business-building event for our members. Since ASI Las Vegas, I have repeatedly heard from both distributors and suppliers expressing their excitement and appreciation for the show. As with every show, our number one priority is to make sure that distributors are happy with the variety and number of exhibitors and suppliers are experiencing steady, quality booth traffic.” Cohn went on to say, “We realize there were some logistical challenges with the South Building of the Las Vegas Convention Center. We are glad we will not have similar problems in 2008 since The ASI Show Las Vegas will be in a different building.”

High Marks for Education Conference
The Education Conference, sponsored by Fields Manufacturing, asi/54100, provided dozens of training seminars to hundreds of distributors and suppliers throughout the day on Monday, March 19. One of the highlights of Education Day was the Fred Sarkari Lunch & Learn presentation, sponsored by SHEPENCO/Shelbyville Pencil, asi/86850, “How the Top 5% Think! Principles of Great Leaders.” Patricia Armstrong of Jam Specialties, asi/233064, enjoyed the new program and said, “I thought Fred’s presentation was terrific! He was very energetic and the information he shared was timely and applicable to our businesses.”

On Tuesday and Wednesday, there were additional opportunities for learning. Hour-long Power Sessions offered attendees industry education on the show floor. The popular Supplier Secrets Keynote: “How Suppliers’ Newest Products and Selling Ideas Can Help Make You More Money,” held on March 20, featured mini-presentations by 16 well-known suppliers who shared their best products and sales ideas. On Wednesday, March 21, Yahoo’s Rich Riley, Senior Vice President of Online Channel Division, presented a special Keynote entitled, “Lessons from Yahoo!: Secrets to Using the Internet to Drive Sales to You Instead of Your Competition.”
