With only 15 cities still to go, the Advantages Roadshow exceeds
total attendance projections for 2006
Suppliers and distributors rave about new local events to build their businesses

TREVOSE, PA — (April 21, 2006) — The all-new Advantages Roadshow, the official ASI traveling show, is coming to the end of its 2006, 12-week tour, with only 15 cities left. The industry’s newest traveling show is now the industry’s most anticipated one, and attendance continues to far exceed expectations — 60% better than projections!

To date, over 7,000 distributors have attended the Advantages Roadshow this year — making the Advantages Roadshow the best-attended traveling show in the industry. According to Mary Upton, Vice President of Tradeshow Operations, “An average of 100 distributors a day for a traveling show is considered very successful, so the Roadshow delivering over 150 (200 on many occasions) distributors per day is a great accomplishment. Exhibitors have been very happy with the quality distributors they have been able to meet and spend time discussing business. Suppliers are so pleased with their results from the Roadshows that they have requested we add dates in the fall. We are now looking into options and are surveying our members.”

Dave Saracino, Director of Sales from BIC Graphic USA, asi/40480, found the Roadshows to be very useful. He shared, “The ASI Advantages Roadshow has proven to be a very effective traveling show for BIC. The Roadshow is very well organized and marketed and has proven to be a very productive traveling show. ASI is delivering the distributors we most want to see. BIC is excited to be able to meet with so many distributors face-to-face, and we look forward to continuing to travel with the Advantages Roadshow.”  Brian Johnson, Director of Sales from Lanco Corporation, asi/66224, agreed by adding, “The Roadshow is an unbelievable jump ahead of any previous traveling show we’ve participated in. We were blown away by the attendance. The Roadshow was successful because we got to spend quality, one-on-one time with distributors — many of whom we haven’t had contact with before.”

Featuring an hour of free education from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. (sponsored by Fields Manufacturing, asi/54100) and exhibit hours from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Roadshow attendees left with their goals met. Roland Soffer from Brown and Bigelow, asi/148500, said “Thanks for bringing the Roadshow to us! You did a great job in getting the top suppliers to exhibit. I got to see some great new stuff!” Laura Wynn from Big Guy Little Guy added “I’ve been to other traveling shows but this one is the best. The suppliers here are great and the show is very well organized. I found several new things for my customers. Thank you for being here!”

The Advantages Roadshow will complete its 12-week tour by visiting the South from April 24-28 (Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh, Richmond and Washington D.C.); Great West from May 15-19 (Salt Lake City, Denver, Albuquerque, Tucson and Phoenix) and Northeast from June 12-16 (Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and Boston).

About The ASI Show
The ASI Show was created for active ASI member distributors and suppliers and attracts more distributors than any other industry shows — with nearly 20,000 attendees. Offering a full education conference, networking opportunities and a manageable one floor/one hall show floor layout, The ASI Show provides a complete trade show experience. In five host cities per year (Orlando, Dallas, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Chicago), The ASI Show has experienced steadily growing attendance since its inception in 1998, and is ideal for promotional product businesses searching for new ideas, new business relationships and more.

The ASI Show launched the Advantages Roadshow in January 2006, an all-new traveling show that provides opportunities for professionals in the ad specialty/promotional products industry to meet and conduct business on a local level. Over a 12-week schedule, the Advantages Roadshow brings together top industry suppliers and quality distributors and salespeople in nearly 60 top cities nationwide.
