  • Step-by-step printing tips for new print locations, like legs and sleeves, plus hard-to-print items such as bags, headwear, wristlets, shoes, sports balls, sandals, outerwear, performance wear and more
  • How to identify thriving markets to grow your sales with decorated items.

  Adobe Illustrator: Learn the Fundamentals, Plus Power Tips and Tricks
(We recommend bringing your own laptop, loaded with Adobe Illustrator software, to this session.)
2 BASI/MASI Credits
In this beginner-to-intermediate course, you’ll receive an overview of the Adobe Illustrator program from navigation to sending final artwork, and become familiar with its graphical user interface and workspace. You’ll explore the basic elements that make up vector graphics, learn how to use each of the powerful drawing tools and explore tracing bitmap images and manipulating typography. You’ll also build gradients and halftones, and then apply these features to objects and text to create professional-quality artwork. Finally, you’ll create a logo and set it up to easily print for decorating almost any product. You’ll leave this hands-on session knowing everything you need to create vector artwork for your imprints.

Note: Laptops will not be provided, and the instructor will not be able to work on or help fix your laptop. The strategies and training provided in this session will apply to Adobe Illustrator CC through CC 2017.

  CorelDRAW: Create Custom Virtual Samples, T-shirt Designs and More
(We recommend bringing your own laptop, loaded with CorelDRAW software, to this session.)

CorelDRAW makes it easy to manage the graphic process, and successful distributors and apparel decorators often use this affordable software to create custom virtual samples, event campaigns, T-shirt designs and so much more. In this hands-on session you’ll see what’s new in this powerful graphics suite, and begin to master the basics and essential design strategies, including:         
  • Learning which tools to focus on first
  • Converting bitmap objects into vector objects
  • Working with text properties
  • Creating text effects.

Note: Laptops will not be provided, and the instructor will not be able to work on or help fix your laptop. The strategies and training provided in this session will apply to CorelDRAW versions X5 through X8.
