ASI Show Relocates Southwest Trade Show To Fort Worth In 2019
Show launches February 4-6, 2019, at the Fort Worth Convention Center
TREVOSE, PA – November 27, 2017 – The ASI Show® today announced it is relocating its Southwest trade show from Dallas to Fort Worth starting in 2019, affirming its long-standing commitment to serving members with live events in the No. 1 region in the U.S. for the sale of promotional products.
The Fort Worth show will be held at the same time of year, with a launch date of February 4-6, 2019, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. ASI held its Southwest show in Dallas every year since 2003.
“It’s time for us to take our show to the next level and Fort Worth is the perfect complement to our mission – community, connections, cost effectiveness and fun,” said Rita Ugianskis-Fishman, senior vice president and general manager of ASI Show. “We are keeping what works, and bringing our members even more value.”
Statistically, Texas is the No.1 state – and lies in the No.1 region – in the country for promotional products sales, according to ASI’s Advantages magazine. By staying in Texas, ASI Show continues to provide the industry with a place to create lasting business relationships, display and source products, and further industry knowledge at the largest industry event in the Southwest.
“Fort Worth is convenient for our current attendee and exhibitor base and will allow everyone to save money while gaining a new level of relationship building both on and off the show floor,” said Timothy M. Andrews, ASI president and chief executive officer. “Our members will also get to experience Fort Worth’s diverse range of restaurants, culture and entertainment and I’m confident they’ll enjoy exploring a new city. Change is good!”
Downtown Fort Worth, a walkable city surrounding the Convention Center, is home to over 50 restaurants, a vintage-style trolley service – Molly the Trolley – offering free transportation around downtown, Stockyards that allow people to experience the true American West, priceless masterpieces in the Cultural District, the Texas Motor Speedway, and so much more.
The format of ASI Show Fort Worth remains the same – one full day of education, two days of exhibits, and a range of networking events spanning all three days.
Five top 40 distributor companies have already committed to bringing sales reps to the inaugural event: AIA Corporation, Boundless, Safeguard and The Vernon Company. American Solutions for Business signed a three-year partnership agreement with ASI to co-locate two of its three annual conferences in Fort Worth.
“After two successful years with PPAI, American Solutions for Business is excited to announce that our 2019 National Sales Conference will be held in conjunction with ASI’s Fort Worth show,” said Justin Zavadil, president of American Solutions for Business, asi/120075. “We’re eager to bring over 400 sales associates to the new location and experience the learning and networking opportunities the show has to offer, along with the great support, technology and resources ASI always provides.”
“AIA is pleased to support ASI’s efforts to bring more efficiency to the promotional products industry,” said Matt Gresge, president and chief executive officer of AIA Corporation, asi/109480. “We applaud the move to Fort Worth, appreciate the cost and time savings this will provide to all in our industry, and look forward to seeing AIA’s owners and key suppliers in Fort Worth in 2019!”
“Boundless has consistently found great value in attending ASI Shows,” said Henrik Johannsen CEO of Boundless, asi/143717, and Counselor 2017 Person of the Year. “For the inaugural ASI Show Fort Worth, we are planning to host a sales meeting and bring a bunch of our awesome sales folks and corporate team members. We’re looking forward to the wonderful opportunities in convention-friendly Fort Worth, and we couldn’t be more excited for this new experience in a city that’s set up perfectly for all-important networking.”
“Safeguard has enjoyed the benefits of co-locating our meetings at the ASI Shows since 2006 and we look forward to bringing 40 people to the kick off of ASI Show Fort Worth in 2019, “ said Tracey Barton, director of promotional products at Safeguard, asi/316203. “Being headquartered nearby in Dallas, we view Fort Worth as a destination that is easily walkable and invites our attendees to enjoy the Safeguard agenda, the ASI Show education, exhibits and networking in a unique city that is inviting and fun!”
“The Vernon Company has held meetings at ASI Shows since 2002 because of the value-added proposition that ASI Show provides to our guests, which includes personal service and attention to detail,” said Dave Regan, vice president of sales and marketing at The Vernon Company, asi/351700. “The combination of the industry’s best suppliers, top quality education, entertaining special events and the energized atmosphere provide the ideal combination for our meetings. We’re looking forward to bringing our sales team to the inaugural ASI Show Fort Worth 2019 to enjoy fabulous opportunities in a city that is structured for success in team building, convenience and networking, from start to finish.”
